ITIL® Capability - Planning Protection & Optimization Description
This accredited CSME/APMG program is for students seeking a specialist certification within ITIL's Planning, Protection & Optimization areas of practice. Candidates that qualify for this program include individuals who have interest in becoming implementation and operation specialists and who hold a Foundation certificate from 2011. Students will become proficient in the following areas when they successfully complete the reading (Service Strategy & Service Design Books), training and the examination portions that are related to this certification.
- The Practice of Service Management
- Processes spanning across the Service Lifecycle that pertain to the practice elements within the realm of Planning, Optimization and Protection
- Capacity Management as pertaining to the capability of the student to accurately detect successful service design
- Availability Management as pertaining to the capability of the student to accurately detect successful service design
- IT Service Continuity Management as pertaining to the capability to support overall Business Continuity Management
- Understanding of Information Security Management as function of the overall corporate governance framework
- Knowledge of Demand Management
- Various types of Planning, Protection and Optimization roles and their responsibilities
- Understand Technology and Implementation Considerations
- Overall understanding of Challenges, Critical Success Factors and risks

ITIL® Capability - Planning Protection & Optimization Exam and Testing
This exam can be taken online using any of the following options: a webcam proctor, at a certified testing center, or onsite with one of our accredited proctor. Certification is done through CSME or APMG. A student must receive a 70% to pass the exam and to receive this certification. The exam is 90 minutes, 8 questions and is closed book. The test will be formatted in a multiple choice scenario-based, gradient scored examination. Students must be able to present an ITIL 2011 Foundation and/or V2 Foundation plus Bridge Certificate before they will be permitted to sit for the exam.
Phoenix TS is an authorized testing center for both Pearson VUE & Prometric. You can register for your CCNA Certification Exams at the Phoenix TS test centers in Washington DC, Baltimore, or Columbia, Maryland. Simply go to the Pearson VUE website or call us directly (301-258-8200).
