MS 2274: The Managing of a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment Course Description:
This course is a five-day instructor-led course that provides its students with the necessary knowledge and skills needed in order to manage resources and accounts in a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment. The MS 2274 course is intended for systems engineer and systems administrator candidates who are ultimately responsible for the management of accounts and resources. These tasks include the management of computer, user, and group accounts; managing printers; managing access to network resources; managing an organizational unit within a network based on Active Directory service; and finally, implementing Group Policy in order to manage computers and users.
The MS 2274 course is the first course in the series of courses for the Systems Administrator and Systems Engineer tracks for Windows Server 2003. It also serves as the entry point for other varying courses inside the Windows Server 2003 curriculum.
After students complete this course, they will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Create and populate organizational units with computer and user accounts.
- Manage computer and user accounts.
- Create and manage various types of groups.
- Manage access to resources.
- Implement printing systems.
- Manage printing systems.
- Manage access to various objects while using organizational units.
- Implement Group Policy.
- Manage the computer and user environment by utilizing Group Policy.
- Audit resources and accounts.
